CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating a deadly weekend accident in Chesapeake.
It happened just after 9 p.m. Sunday at the corner of Eden Way North and Savory Crescent.
Chesapeake police initially thought the accident involved a sedan and a go-kart, but now determined the vehicle was not a go-kart. Instead, police said it was a heavily modified Honda Civic. The car had been registered through the DMV, but with its modifications, it was not street legal.
The driver of the Civic, 24-year-old Anthony Dillard, was ejected in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
