UPDATE: Missing Newport News man suffering from Alzheimer's found

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) — Newport News Police report that a 68-year-old man who went missing Saturday has been found safe.

Henry Washington, of the 1100 block of 32nd Street, had last been seen around 10 a.m., assistant PIO B. J. Maynard said.

He was found at a local hospital with no reported injuries.

Police were contacted about Washington missing around 12:16 p.m. He suffers from Alzheimer’s and requires medication.

Washington was wearing a black sweatshirt, gray or navy blue sweatpants, and wearing only one shoe.
