Deadline extended for Salvation Army's Angel Tree

Friday was originally the last day donations for the Angel Tree would be accepted, but now that has been pushed back to Monday, December 10.

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) — You have a little bit more time to get a gift for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree.

Friday was originally the last day donations for the Angel Tree would be accepted, but now that has been pushed back to Monday, December 10. The program allows community members to shop for clothing for a child registered with the Salvation Army.

All adopted Angels must be returned with one outfit of clothing (minimum of one shirt and one pair of pants). While only a pair of pants and a shirt are required, many children need new shoes and a warm coat for the winter season as well.

The program helps more than 5,000 families across Hampton Roads. You can donate online here.

Or to pick up Angel Tree tags or drop off a donation, go to the Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command, located at 5525 Raby Road in Norfolk.

Angel Tree locations can also be found at these locations across Hampton Roads.

For more information, you can also visit The Salvation Army's website or call (757) 543-8100, extension 64132.
