PORTSMOUTH, Va. — A fugitive wanted for a deadly hit-and-run from across the country was caught in Portsmouth, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
Rasenoch Salem Allen was wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash in Oakland, California, that left a mother and son dead.
U.S. Marshals tracked Allen down to a home in the 4200 block of Morgate Lane in Portsmouth on Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators said Allen refused to identify himself, but was fingerprinted on-scene, which confirmed his identity.
Allen was arrested and is currently being held at the Portsmouth City Jail.
The Norfolk Fugitive Squad and the Norfolk Police Department assisted with the arrest.
