Man dies, suspect named after shooting at Tinee Giant in Norfolk

Police are looking for Breon Davis after someone shot a man at the convenience store at the intersection of E. Princess Anne Road and Standard Street.

NORFOLK, Va. — In a late-night update, a spokesperson for Norfolk Police said a man died from his injuries after a shooting at a Tinee Giant Friday afternoon.

The Norfolk Police Department tweeted that the shooting at the store at the intersection of East Princess Anne Road and Standard Street happened around 3:10 p.m.

Medics took the Virginia Beach man, 27-year-old Dante Southerland, to the hospital. A few hours later, a spokesperson said he'd died from his injuries.

After an investigation, detectives put out a warrant for Breon R. Davis, 28, of Norfolk. He's wanted for second degree murder and use of a firearm.  

The Norfolk Police Department asked that anyone who might know where Davis id call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U- UP or leave a tip online.

Tipsters can stay anonymous, and if the information leads to an arrest, could be eligible for a cash reward.
