NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk police are investigating a hit-and-run that happened Friday evening.
According to the Norfolk Police Department, 36-year-old Karl Wilkerson was struck in the 2400 block of Tidewater Drive Friday evening.
Wilkerson was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and later pronounced dead, the department said.
Investigators have found that Wilkerson was walking on the sidewalk when a black sports car veered off the road and hit Wilkerson and a tree, the department said.
The suspect then got into a different car and left, the department said.
