Weather Alert Day expires as rain moves out of Hampton Roads

Rain tapers off later this evening from west to east.

NORFOLK, Va. — The 'Weather Alert Day' comes to an end as the rain moves out of Hampton Roads on Thursday evening. Although rain will come to a gradual end from west to east there is still the ongoing threat of additional flooding from our 2-4" of rainfall.

FORECAST: Weather Alert Day issued for Thursday due to widespread, heavy rain

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 8PM.

Rain comes to an end this evening and we rapidly clear out overnight. Winds turning breezy out of the west will erode the cloud deck and cool us down.
