Norfolk students participate in Little Feet Meet

Hundreds of Norfolk students participated in the 15th annual 'Little Feet Meet' at Old Dominion University.

NORFOLK, Va. — Hundreds of Norfolk students gathered to participate in the 15th annual "Little Feet Meet" at Old Dominion University on Tuesday.

About 600 students from 15 Norfolk public elementary schools attended to promote inclusion, physical activity and community connections at Old Dominion University’s S.B. Ballard Stadium.

The event brought together students and their peers with disabilities to promote inclusivity in the classroom.

It was an opportunity for students with exceptional needs to participate alongside their peers.

Little Feet Meet was created to be integrated into the school division, enhance current efforts, and provide opportunities that lead to creating socially inclusive schools that engage and support all students.

Norfolk Public Schools hosts this annual event and leverages the support of community partners like Special Olympics Virginia.
