NORFOLK, Va. — Today our area is graced with sunny skies and balmy temperatures, reaching a pleasant 80°F. While a few morning showers briefly came through the Outer Banks, the rest of the day promises warmth and sunshine.

But don't get too comfortable, because a change is coming. Tomorrow, a cold front moves in, bringing cooler temperatures that will linger through the weekend. Expect a high of 65° on Friday, with nighttime temperatures dropping to the mid to low 50s, about 10° below average.

As the cold front sweeps through, it brings clouds and a chance of rain. Both Saturday and Sunday hold a 30% chance of showers, with Saturday's rain likely in the morning and Sunday's in the afternoon.

However, there's light at the end of the tunnel. By the middle of next week, temperatures are forecasted to warm up again, marking the return of sunnier days.

So, enjoy today's warmth, prepare for a cooler weekend ahead, and look forward to the promise of brighter days ahead.
