CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A firefighter was hurt fighting a fire on Monday, the Chesapeake Fire Department said.
Chesapeake firefighters responded to a fire reported in the 1300 block of Taft Road around 1:48 p.m. That's in the St. Brides area of the city. A few minutes later firefighters arrived to find a detached shed engulfed in flames behind a house.
Crews deployed hose lines and the fire was under control at 2:10 p.m. One firefighter was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a minor injury.
The Chesapeake Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
